The London Interdisciplinary Biosciences Consortium (LIDo) is the largest Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council funded Doctoral Training Partnership in the UK. Representing an exciting collaboration between eight of London's world-class universities and specialist institutions, the consortium provides students with a unique opportunity to pursue innovative interdisciplinary research projects in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant cities.
The consortium also wanted to completely rethink and remodel the user experience, upgrade the site’s CMS and overhaul the overall branding. The key parts of the project included:
Following a successful launch, we now manage the ongoing hosting and support of LIDo’s website, this involves mapping out a path of future upgrades and development.
"After a comprehensive briefing period, we presented our initial ideas for the new branding of the partnership and our recommended approach for scoping the project. We were particularly keen to conduct some workshop sessions with professors and graduates to ensure a clear and coherent approach to the site architecture and user experience.
After conducting the workshops, we took an iterative approach to developing an agreed set of wireframes. We recommended creating compelling student story pages and also adding more videos to the site, where possible, to bring the impact of the project to life.
Following a successful launch, we now manage the ongoing hosting and support of LIDo’s website, this involves mapping out a path of future upgrades and development. For example, we have just rolled out an advanced online application system.
