New branding and website for trusted specialist publishing recruitment firm

Inspired is a dedicated and passionate content and publishing recruitment and executive search firm with over 20 years of placing publishing professionals from entry level all the way up to the C-Suite and Board level roles.

Their publishing recruitment consultants have carved out sector specialisms in education, trade, professional, B2B and academic publishing. They now boast an impressive client portfolio which has grown to include a wide variety of commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

THE BRIEF:

Inspired have been a valued client for several years, and due to their old website being on Drupal 7, we started to talk to them about an upgrade and to rebuild their website to bring it up to date.

The client was also keen to take the opportunity for a total rebrand as it was felt that the brand was tired and didn’t match their core values as a dynamic and highly professional bespoke recruitment service. This would include all branding material as well as a complete redesign of the website.

With regards to the website, the client wanted to retain a lot of the functionality from the old site, in particular with regards to the candidate log in area, and job alerts that candidates can sign up to receive as well an a job board API integration.

However, they wanted to take the opportunity to really look at the UX and to build the website with scalability in mind, as in the future they also want to connect the website to their CRM.

THE PROJECT:

The rebranding and the website scoping ran alongside each other, and once we had the branding elements signed off, we could move onto the design phase and prototype.

We undertook a thorough research and scoping exercise, doing focus groups and competitor analysis as well as a series of wireframes.

Once we had all the elements specified and signed off, we started by building the HTML prototype, which meant that the client could quickly get a real feeling for how the new site would look and work across different screen sizes.

We also then started to build the backend Drupal 10 site, and as there were several third party integration points, these were planned in and tackled early on in the project to minimise risk.

We had weekly meetings with the client and showed them continuous updates working in an agile manner, and it also gave the client an opportunity to tweak things as we went along.

Once all functionality was in and most of the frontend design done, the client was trained in how to use the CMS and the page builder elements.

THE RESULT:

A refreshed and enhanced website with a strong brand identity built on Drupal’s powerful and scalable open source platform

The site was launched in the summer on time, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The website offers complete flexibility when building new pages using paragraphs and due to it being on Drupal 10, offers a very scalable and secure platform.

The project included:

  • Upgrade of the site’s content management system from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10
  • Refreshed website look and feel
  • Complete rebrand incl digital business cards, Guidelines, logos, colour palette, imagery, iconography
  • Candidate my account area and ability to sign up for job alerts
  • Updated Library (news and insights) area
  • SEO

There are plans for further integrations to ensure that all systems are joined up to streamline business processes
